Responsibilities

  • Produce and revise drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Create accurate floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, enlarged plans, elevations, details, diagrams, and other project drawings as directed.

  • Convert engineer and designer sketches, markups, and redlines into complete CAD/Revit drawings.

  • Update existing drawing sets based on project revisions and field information.

  • Incorporate architectural backgrounds and consultant drawings into project documentation.

  • Maintain proper drawing layers, families, blocks, annotations, dimensions, sheet organization, and file structure.

  • Prepare and maintain drawing sheets for design, coordination, bid, construction, and as-built documentation.

  • Assist with updating drawings throughout the different phases of a project.

  • Coordinate drawing backgrounds and revisions between architectural, electrical, mechanical, and other consultant documents.

  • Review drawings for drafting accuracy, consistency, and completeness before submission.

  • Maintain company drafting standards, templates, title blocks, symbols, and drawing conventions.

  • Organize and maintain project CAD and Revit files.

  • Assist designers and engineers with drawing production and documentation as required.

  • Make revisions quickly and accurately based on internal or client comments.

  • Maintain accurate revision history and drawing issue dates.

  • Support the preparation of record and as-built drawings at the completion of projects.

  • Manage multiple drafting assignments and meet established project deadlines.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.

  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit.

  • Ability to read and understand architectural and construction drawings.

  • Ability to work from sketches, redlines, markups, and written direction.

  • Strong attention to detail and drawing accuracy.

  • Understanding of drafting fundamentals, including dimensions, scales, layers, line weights, annotations, and sheet organization.

  • Ability to manage and organize multiple drawing files and projects.

  • Strong computer and file-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently while taking direction from designers, engineers, and project managers.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
